Laurie Hernandez (the Queen of the Crop from Worldesigns, LLC has announced the first 2013 tour date for her amazing Costa Rica Photo tour. I, the Cropist himself,  will return as your intrepid Photography Instructor for a sixth season! If you’ve ever thought about seeing Costa Rica from something other than a tour bus with guides who possess an insider’s knowledge of the people, places and creatures that inhabit this amazing country, now is your chance.

Much of the curriculum from this blog and my cropping workshops will be available to you first-hand as you work with Laurie, one of the finest compositional photographers with whom I’ve worked and me, the Cropist, for whom cropping is a passion. We will teach you to shave off just the right parts of Costa Rica to enhance its natural beauty and polish your memories.  Whether through your viewfinder or software, we will maximize your Costa Rica captures.

The February 2011 Worldesigns Photo Costa Rica Tour date is announced!

February 16-23, 2011

Mark your calendars now and get your registration forms filled out. The Worldesigns Photo Costa Rica Photo Tour is now accepting reservations for the February photography tour with Rikk Flohr as your photography instructor.

We will be cropping in the field, cropping in software in the morning sessions and discussing cropping in the evening image review sessions. Much of the classroom and field instructions revolves around taking and making more powerful images. Cropping is a big part of that process-whether in-camera or later in software.

In addition to yours truly, the founder of Holy Crop! blog, Laurie Hernandez, the tour leader and owner of Worldesigns Photo will be assisting you with the art of composition. Laurie is one of the finest compositional eyes around the game today and offers great insights into the best ways to trim an image. In addition, she runs a heck of a tour.
